At school this afternoon we looked out the window of our teacher office space to see this wee visitor wandering along the bank. It's seems to be a lone pukeko and has been wandering in and out of our school since late last year. I just think it's neat that we're in the biggest city in NZ and we still have all this wonderful wildlife around us.

46/365 Thirsty
Another cellphone pic (Really must charge my camera battery). I've been drinking heaps of these because of the heat. Devin has a Soda Stream and it has been getting a lot of use at the moment.
45/365 Homework
Another fuzzy cellphone photo here. But what I love about it is my young man is actually willingly sitting down and doing his homework. Year 10 is shaping up to be a good year for him.
44/365 Blurred Vision
Spent far to much time staring at this today. My eyes were so tired that I had to dig up my glasses in order to see clearly.
42/365 Watching Paint Dry
David spent the last few days painting Mum's house for her. It was so hot that he was literally watching the paint dry as he applied it.

41/365 Smile
I didn't use the flash for this and I really like the golden glow that was created as a result. Another of my bathroom plants - that scarecrow is from Canada.
39/365 Paper Wars
These piles of paper are lying on the floor of my office at home and need to be sorted. I made a start before I got sick and have yet to get back to them. I find the best thing to do is shut the door and ignore it.
38/365 Leaves
This plant hangs out in our bathroom. It was grown from a cutting and it's a miracle that it's still alive considering my track record with plants.

37/365 Gifts from the Garden
Tonight I made a salad for dinner which included lettuce, tomatoes and celery that Devin had grown. There was something kind of cool about going out to the garden and picking fresh vegetables for our dinner.
36/365 Happiness is...
... Black Doris plums and my favourite lollies imported from the USA. I adore Black Doris plums and get frustrated with the fact that they can be quite hard to get. Fortunately we found these at a roadside market garden stall over in Hobsonville. As for the lollies - there are no yummier jelly beans then Jelly Bellys as far as I'm concerned, and I love anything in the Skittles and Wonka range. I was very excited to discover The Candyman in Mount Eden as they have all my favourite brands with varieties that you just can't get in NZ. Yum!
35/365 Brotherly Love
Found these two just hanging out together on top of the barbeque. I love that they are such good mates.
34/365 First Day
Rohi and Pythagoras just hanging out in the Newsletter container after a day of being passed from child to child as we got to meet our new class members.
33/365 Back to School Eve.
Today was spent attending meetings at school and finishing off my last minute preparation for school. Had fun punching out all the letters and assembling this title for my "Topic" wall. The hardest part was stopping the dog walking all over it while it was spread out on the lounge floor.
32/365 Conference
First "Teacher Only" day of the year was spent here. Murray Gadd was the keynote speaker and was awesome as always. In the afternoon we went to workshops. I attended one workshop and presented one as well. Had fun catching up with old friends, although I was still exhausted from being sick. Couldn't eat the lovely lunch that was provided either.
